Patient Participation Group
We have an established Patient Group but would love to encourage more members to join our meetings.
The Patient Group meets at the surgery with Lorna Gardiner, Practice Manager, every 2-3 months for an hour on a Thursday between 5-6pm.
It is a relaxed group which represents a cross section of patients. We do set an agenda and ask everyone in the group to put forward items they would like to discuss.
- this can be on all aspects of information relating to the surgery
- how it is run
- staff updates
- information relating to services
- sharing feedback from other patients
- compiling patient surveys and setting actions from the results
One of our members also represents Swavesey Surgery as a member of the Cambridge and Cambridge South Patient Group which feeds into the ICS and Addenbrookes so that our patients have a voice and can look to initiate change.
Discussion and feedback is encouraged, however, please note that this is not a forum for complaints.
We have Chairperson but currently no secretary for the group so the minutes are taken by Lorna Gardiner, Practice Manager and circulated to the group, these are available to all patients. All members are asked to comment if they are not a true and accurate representation of the meeting and signed off by the Chairperson.
If you would like to be involved in your practice and have an hour to spare a few times a year then we would be delighted to hear from you. Please either speak to reception, email us or complete the form and return to the surgery.
