CARERS
A carer is someone who spends a significant proportion of their life providing unpaid support to family or potentially friends. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has a mental health or substance misuse problem.

Making it easier to get support from Caring Together
Caring Together are always working to make it as easy as possible for people who are looking after someone to get the support they need and that is most relevant to them. We recently launched a new online form which can be used both by people who are looking after someone or professionals who want to refer an unpaid carer:
- They can simply go to caringtogether.org/refer-a-carer/
- People can tell us about their / the carer’s situation and we can then get in touch with the carer to ensure they have the relevant support.
Inside news email newsletter
Each month our email newsletter, inside news, gives people who look after someone and professionals the latest information for unpaid carers in the area.
It is completely free to sign up. Just go to www.caringtogether.org/keepintouch/
